Paulines day to day scribblings
JQ1 Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Jetstar. Melbourne, Australia to Honolulu Hawaii, USA. Travelling is quite stressful. On the move constantly. Carrying important documents and foreign cash across the globe, protecting them via various means and a load of paranoia, lest they vanish from your sight. At Melbourne Airport, the endless lines to check-in, then more queuing […]
Hawaii Adventure 2018 Chapter One – PRE FLIGHT ” She packed her bag pre-flight. Zero hour 9 am. And she’s gonna be hiii-ii –igh as a kite by then ” Elton John song. Well, she’s not high, she’s not even excited and she’s not packed! With exactly 2 weeks to go before that much anticipated […]
Suddenly a remote memory surfaced….of Angus. It simply popped, uninvited, into my head. There I sat, in a very public space, surrounded by this thriving bustle of sidewalk strollers, when a single tear began its unexpected, slow and sad trail down my cheek, threatening to splash, uncontrolled, right into my skinny latte.
There was quite a long walk to our Hotel. There were views of misty mountains, snow on the tips, a light blinking on one of the peaks and with the sun already setting, it was quite magical and unreal.
There is not an item of outdoor furniture I have not tried. Some are better than others. I have heard other mutterings about cat hair on the furniture ( I am a long hair after all ) and I do my best to keep myself well groomed.

When he poked his nose inside the door however, I launched myself. It was loud. I think I spooked him because this is my patch. He will learn. I can look after myself.
The food was delicious – my mistake was not taking the vegetarian option.
The venue, ambience and entertainment was first class.
Well recommended. Congratulations Vue Grand and Players.
There is an uneasiness to this tale. It’s there at the start. How good is this? To draw the reader in, through all the nasty, abnormal bodily functions. You know you will have to wade through, knee deep in it – literally – to find your way out! Is this based on true life? I think so.
Star Wars wouldn’t be the same without the humour – the one-liners, the looks, the audience laughed out loud at all the right places. I heard a rumour that Daniel Craig ( aka James Bond ) was in a brief scene as a Storm Trooper, so began a scrutinising of all Storm Troopers. He had denied this in an interview, saying why would he bother being an extra in a movie while he was busy filming Spectre!
